Episode 17. Gaining Independence in the Practice of Law with Megan Siddall

Megan Siddall is a lawyer mom and the managing partner of Miner Siddall, LLP in Boston, Massachusetts, where she represents criminal defendants in white collar cases and other criminal appeals. She is a champion for women solo practitioners and small firm owners. In this episode, Megan details her experience in BigLaw and how she came to the realization that she wanted the independence to practice when she wanted, how she wanted, and with which clients she wanted. Rather than worrying about internal law firm politics and the pressures one experiences within a very large firm, Megan wanted to focus on her clients. She now helps people accused of wrongdoing navigate one of the most difficult times in their lives. She has found great personal and professional satisfaction in being a counselor and fierce litigator.
